.....My pals from my USM days.....

I'm happy to have come across several long-lost pals from my undergraduate days at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Minden, Pulau Pinang, in the early '70s. Accolades go to Facebook, but of course. Sujiah Salleh studied with me in Form 6 at Maktab Sultan Abu Bakar (English College), Johor Bahru in the late '60s.

.....Just Unclogging # 4.....

A few 'things' have transpired during the last three weeks, the most significant of which being Mama D's departure for KL on Sunday, 17.02.2013, to seek 'greener pastures'. We, who're left behind, have to contend with the changes in this household, especially yours truly-lah. My role as the perennial unpaid maid has been magnified to encompass that of a chauffeur, grandson-minder as well as an untrained tutor. I must admit that I've never been more overwhelmed in my life. Extreme fatigue has become my middle name now. Stress in certain quarters is also mounting. It's undeniable that mental and emotional fatigue will surely lead to physical exhaustion. Sometimes, I just have to listen to my bodily needs. Sleeping aka 'power-napping' will be my saviour at any odd time of the day. I need to rest my weary bones more often, now. Sigh! Who would ever thought that I'll be stuck with doing mundane chores, such as the scrubbing of heavily soiled school uniforms and shoes now, at my 'six series' age? Gosh! It's almost unthinkable! Yet, that's exactly what I'm stuck with, these days. Sigh.....again!!!!!

Well, despite everything, I've got to be strong, lest I'll be affected in 'other ways', considering the 'special condition' that I'm 'lucky enough to be blessed with'. I always have to remain positive and believe in the fact that 'better things' have yet to come, with the Grace of Allah SWT. InsyaAllah.....God willing.....Ameen.....
