.....My Commuting Experiences.....

During my working days, my tour of duty covered several districts in Johor, a couple of districts in Malacca and also the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur.

Below is a summary of my commuting experiences between the years 1974 and 2001.

.....Feeling frustrated, endlessly.....

 

 

Within the past three years, life hasn't been smooth for me. The after effects of the serious malady that had afflicted me in November 2013, are still being felt. The diagnosis of another chronic ailment at that same time, had also brought along with it many awful side effects. I find that I'm forever afflicted with chronic pain now, and my legs, especially, seem to be the main problem. They feel heavy at times and  at other times they feel significantly weak.

My confidence level has also nose-dived so much. So much so I find that I can no longer go about anywhere on my own. I most definitely need someone to be my escort, all the time. Also, it's been a couple of years since I last drove a car. I have almost forgotten how to drive one actually! It's sad, isn't it?

Another issue that really bugs me is this ever-expanding girth of mine. It's really damn awful! And having to down a 'cocktail' of medications for my condition on a daily basis, is another pain in my arse! It really is the pits!

In short, my life really SUCKS, man! Honestly!

.....Significant January Dates.....

 

 

 

The month of January 2017, contains several significant events for yours truly. Of course, Sunday, 1st January heralds in the brand new year, 2017.

 

 

 

Two weeks down the line, precisely on Monday, 16.1.2017, I was discharged from the Orthopaedic Department, Hospital Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru, after being treated for my fractured ankle. During the six months of treatment (11 July, 2016 till 16.1.2017), I received very good professional and friendly treatment from all the parties involved - the Doctors, nurses, radiologists, physiotherapists and the admin staff. This particular event in my life will be forever etched in my mind. It's totally unforgettable, needless to say.

 

 

 

On Saturday, 21.1.2017, my youngest sibling, Rosnita Binti Abdul Rahim turned 55 years old.

 

 

  

Finally, Wednesday, 25.1.2017 saw the 43rd death anniversary of my beloved Dad, Allahyarham Abdul Rahim Bin Narat. Al Fatihah. Ameen. "Oh my Papa, I miss him so today.....and everyday."

I honestly and truly pray that the brand new year will be a good one for me......a year which is relatively pain-free, and filled with utmost joy, happines and laughter. InsyaAllah. Ameen.

 

 



.....Closing 2016 with sighs!.....

 

 SIGH!

 

I'm still ventilating about my poor state of health. Nothing new, really! It's really disheartening to be afflicted with so many diseases at the same time. Just how much can this old body constitution endure? Pray tell me! During the course of 2016, I have been feeling quite rotten. My chronic pain has never left me. Honestly speaking, my life has been a nightmare, from as far back as the 1960s. Yeah, that's right!

 

For the record, I'll jot down the chronology of events, where my poor health is concerned. Here goes.....

 

1965 - I was struck with Nephritis at the age of 15. Was warded at HSAJB from 25.4.1965 till 25.5.1965.

 

Late 2004 - I joined the 'Hypertension' fraternity ( a legacy from my late Dad).

 

June 2009 - Got afflicted with the Big C (legacy from my late Mom). Underwent the  Big M, Ch and R at HSIJB.

 

July 2013 - Underwent WLE at HSIJB.

 

Nov 2013 - Was afflicted with E Coli Sepsis. Was warded at HSAJB for a week (13.11.13 - 21.11.13). Was also diagnosed with DM, and all its accompanying discomforts, followed suit (chronic pain, chronic fatigue, mood swings, utter despair, etc etc !!!!!).

 

July 2016 - Fractured my right ankle after a fall. Got treated at HSAJB. Was in a cast for 59 days. Had to use a wheelchair. After the cast was removed, underwent three physiotherapy sessions.

 

Ya Allah, Ya Tuhan ku, I honestly and truly hope that the new year, 2017 will not be seeing the repeat of all the utter despair that I have had to endure. And that endless smiles and laughter will be replacing all my endless sighs!
